The United Societies of Science (Abbr.: USS, from now on referred to as USS) The USS is a cross-border community for scientists and researchers with openness, equality, and inclusion. It was established in 2023, and registered in Hong Kong and is a borderless, non-profit, non-governmental organization. It aims to promote the integrated development of global scientific research and human well-being by facilitating the exchange and sharing of knowledge and cross-border collaboration. For USS, "science" mainly refers to science, technology, engineering, medicine, management, and social sciences. USS believes that humanities and arts also belong to the category of "science" and are of great significance to human development. 

Kongunadu College of Engineering and Technology (KNCET), established in 2007, is an autonomous, self-financing institution approved by AICTE and affiliated with Anna University, Chennai. Spread across a 70-acre eco-friendly campus, it is recognized by the UGC under Sections 2(f) and 12(B), certified under ISO 9001:2015, and adheres to the 5S quality framework. The college holds NAAC and NBA accreditation for CSE, ECE, EEE, and Mechanical departments, with permanent affiliation for five departments. Research centres in ECE, Mechanical, and IT are approved by Anna University. The institution promotes academic excellence through a focus on research, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

The college has established 11 Centres of Excellence in partnership with companies like Dell EMC, Cisco, Siemens, Mitsubishi, and Texas Instruments. These centres focus on areas like data science, embedded systems, industrial automation, and automotive electronics, enabling students to develop real-world solutions. KNCET has received funding from AICTE, DST, DBT, NABARD, and MSME for projects and training. It is a recognized MSME Host Institute and StartupTN Pre-Incubation Centre, and actively participates in rural development through Unnat Bharat Abhiyan. The KNISP’21 policy promotes campus-wide startup culture, supported by an on-campus industry and an International Cell for global exposure.

The Centre for Campus to Corporate (C2C) offers training in aptitude, technical skills, and communication, resulting in strong placement records across IT, core industries, and startups. The college has filed 68+ patents and secured 7 grants through the IPR Cell. With 114 Anna University rank holders and 50+ MoUs, students excel in national competitions such as the Smart India Hackathon, TNSCST Expo, and Naan Mudhalvan Coder’s League. Institutional accolades include the AICTE Lilavati Award, Clean Campus Award, 5S Platinum, and Innovation awards. KNCET ranks in the NIRF Innovation band (150–300), and among the top 175 engineering colleges in India and top 25 in Tamil Nadu (Times Survey 2021). It also holds 3.5- and 4-star ratings from the MoE’s Institution Innovation Council.
